First Posting!

Well, I did it. I'm blogging! That sounds so important - but for me, it will serve as a way to keep in touch with people, and share life. And I'm sure this will be somewhat therapeutic for me, with our big move coming up.

As most of you know, we're moving to Massachusetts next month. Talk about "The Journey"! So many mixed emotions right now. We'll be leaving in less than a month. "Have you started packing yet?", people ask. NO!!!! Well, ok, a little. Peter and I did manage to get our offices cleaned out and all packed up. For those of you who have seen our offices (especially Peter's) you will understand what a HUGE accomplishment that is. Peter also worked on cleaning out his "toys" in the garage today. Men really are just taller, older little boys, especially when it comes to their toys. He's a golfer, hunter (bow and gun), fisherman, and I'm not sure what else he unearthed in there. Do I dare add "pack rat" to that list of "hobbies"?! Anyway, it's much better. Now we have to start on the rest of the house. We will be cleaning out, clearing out, and just getting rid of stuff. A very nice feeling.

We're still not sure where we'll be landing when we get to the Great White North. We have some options (we hope), and we know it will work out. I will ask that you keep us in your prayers as we prepare for this move and especially in the transition from here to there. Pray especially for my girls - this will be emotionally tough on them. They're troopers and I have no doubt they will be just fine. But the transition from here to there will be hard. Thanks for the support! Once we're settled in, we want everyone to come see us! Well, not everyone, but those of you we know and like :)

Ok - I guess that's enough for now. I'm sure I'll be doing more "deep" posts, and some not so deep. For now, I just want to say - I'm here and part of the blogging community. And let you know what's new in our lives.

Wow - Facebook and Blogging all in two days. For a self-described "Technology Phobic", that's not too bad!
